Halloween Cupcakes

Eu adoro cupcakes. De vez em quando faço, mas nada muito artístico! Estes para o tema Halloween estão lindos!

I love cupcakes. Once in a while I make some, but nothing artistic! These are for Halloween are gorgeous!

Estes foram os que comemos hoje no workshop de Halloween na 512 ideias... não estão o máximo?

These were the ones we ate at the workshop at 512 ideias (a craft shop in Oporto) ... aren't they great?

Cupcakes-Recipe/Receita 1

This weekend I had some friends for tea. Yes, portuguese people drink tea (not only expresso)!

The portuguese queen Catherine of Braganza, married with Charles II of England, has introduced tea in England. When she went to England she brought her own tea chest, and she started the "Five o'clock Tea" with her maids of honor.

But the tea focus of the tea were the cupcakes. They were promised to one of my friends.

Este fim-de-semana convidei uns amigos para lanchar... para um chá! Sim, nós não tomamos só café!


A rainha Catarina de Bragança, que se casou com o rei Charles II (Carlos II) de Inglaterra é que introduziu o chá nesse país. Quando ela foi viver para Inglaterra levou o seu próprio chá e começou a tomar o "Chá das 5" com as suas damas de companhia.


Mas o Foco do chá/lanche foram os cupcakes. Já estavam prometidos a um dos meus amigos!

I have baked them and Leonor (my older daughter) decorated them.

Eu cozinhei e a Leonor (a minha filha mais velha) decorou-os.


As promised the Recipe:

CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES WITH CREAM CHEESE

CUPCAKES

1 cup pf sugar
2 table spoons of butter
1 cup of powder chocolate
4 eggs
2 cups of flour
2 table spoons of baking powder
1 cup of milk

Mix the sugar and the butter until you get a 'whity' cream. Join the chocolate and mix. Join the eggs one by one and mix.  Join the sifted cake flour with the baking powder, alternate it with the milk.
Take it to the oven (180ºC), about 10/15 min.

CREAM CHEESE

300 grs of powdered (icing) sugar
50 grs. of butter
150 grs of Philadelphia cheese

Mix the sugar and the butter, until the mixture is uniform. Mix the cheese, but no too much.

CUPCAKES


1 chávena de açúcar
6 colheres de sopa de manteiga
1 chávena de chocolate em pó
4 ovos
2 chávenas de farinha de trigo
2 colheres de sopa de fermento em pó
1 chávena de leite


Juntar o açúcar e a manteiga até obter um creme esbranquiçado. Juntar o chocolate em pó e de seguida os ovos, um a um. Adicionar a farinha peneirada com fermento, alternando com o leite. Levar ao forno a 180º, aprox. 10/15 min.


CREAM CHEESE


300 gr de açúcar em pó
50 gr de manteiga
150 grs de queijo Philadelphia


Juntar o açúcar e a manteiga até obter uma mistura uniforme. Adicionar o queijo sem mexer muito.

Birthday theme /Tema da festa aniversário - Cupcakes

I was trying to decide what should be my daughter's birthday theme. I was watching 'Querido Mudei a Casa', a portuguese makeover program (see Here), and I made up my mind - Cupcakes.

The party was at the grandparents' home, because the game's room and the garden is much bigger. If it rains (it was in January) the girls need space to play.

The room needs a new decor, so I needed to make the table very colorful, so that the focus was on it. And I believe it worked! :)

Eu estava a tentar decidir qual poderia ser o tema para o aniversário da minha filhas mais velha. Quando vi o programa do 'Querido Mudei a Casa' (veja Aqui) decidi - Cupcakes.


A festa era em casa dos avós, porque a salas de brincadeiras e o jardim são bem maiores. Caso chovesse (porque foi em Janeiro) as meninas tinham de ter onde brincar. 


É verdade que a sala precisa ser renovada, por isso a mesa tinha de ficar bastante atractiva, para atrair para si as atenções. E acho que resultou! :)

I have bought the cupcake cloth at '512 ideias'. Then divided it and put one in each corner of the table. The table is 3mts, so I didn't want to put it totally covered with cupcakes!

I have also found cupcakes napkins! :)

Comprei um tecido com cupcakes na '512 ideias'. Depois dividi a meio a mandei fazer bainhas. A mesa tem 3mts, por isso não queria uma toalha toda de cupcakes!


Também encontrei guardanapos de cupcakes.

The small cups with jelly were a success, very practical!

Os copinhos com gelatina foram um sucesso, muito práticos!

The home made cupcakes. Cover - cream cheese. Lots and lots of them. My daughters helped and we had fun.

Os cupcakes feitos em casa. A cobertura - cream cheese. Imensos. As minhas filhas ajudaram e foi muito divertido.

The table center could not be missing, and it had to be colorful. Leonor has done it with me and loved it.

Grandma surprised the birthday girl with the mini roses bouquet.

Leonor wanted Flora (from Winx) at her birthday cake.

Não podia faltar um centro de mesa infantil e colorido. A Leonor fez comigo e adorou.


A avó surpreendeu a aniversariante com o bouquet de rosas miniatura (Sta Teresinha).


A Leonor quis a Flora (das Winx) no seu bolo de aniversário.

Karaoke, ballons, face paintings, hide and seek,.... everything to make them happy.
